Interface Sensing Product Manager

Tekscan is currently seeking a talented Product Manager to lead the development and management of the sensing product lines.  This role serves as the linchpin between engineering, marketing, sales, customer support, and operations to ensure success of the product line.  Understanding and fulfilling customer requirements will be the cornerstone of meeting the business objectives for the product lines. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for Product line profitability, growth, and portfolio management 
  • Define market opportunities, competitive landscapes, and technology assessments to establish product life-cycle strategies 
  • Prioritize strategic verticals and execute marketing strategy to drive incremental sales 
  • Identify requirements and business case for new product introduction and guide projects through the development process 
  • Partner with engineering, operations, marketing, and sales to successfully launch and sustain products 
  • Aid in software development through an Agile process; define software that provides intuitive operation and powerful analysis 
  • Understand Voice of the Customer and clearly articulate to rest of organization 
  • Serve as key resource to drive new opportunities by providing content for marketing and aiding sales in key opportunities 
  • Understand Product Regulatory requirements for target markets 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant experience 
  • 4+ years of relevant technical experience with sensing, instrumentation and/or medical devices 
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) to articulate vision across organization and to management team 
  • Strong analytical capabilities to sift through data and make high level business decisions 
  • Project management skills 
  • Cross-functional leadership 
  • 15% travel involved, domestic and international including attending tradeshows, assisting at major accounts, product launches, and advising medical researchers
