Material Handler
Tekscan, Inc., a technology leader and growing manufacturer of force and pressure sensing systems for medical, dental, commercial, and industrial applications is seeking an energetic individual to add to our Supply Chain department.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Shipping – Pull products from stockrooms for shipment to customers. Package orders for shipment according to requirements.
- Receiving – Correctly place received items into appropriate inventory locations and ensure that items are properly tagged and counted.
- Physical – Lifting packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Loading and unloading – Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks.
- Inventory – Cycle count inventory locations per schedule.
- Facility – Maintain stockroom and surrounding areas for safety and organizational improvement.
- Record-keeping – Maintain records of goods received and shipped, including documentation for hazardous materials.
- Troubleshooting – Resolve discrepancies in shipping and receiving.
- Work hours – Weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Minimum Requirements
- 2 years of experience in shipping & receiving positions.
- 2 years of experience using UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL, and other common carrier shipping systems.
- Knowledge of international shipping requirements.
- Strong computer skills including ERP software (i.e. Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Epicor ERP experience preferred.
